Yup sorry , that's hideous . No way will I be buying this generation M car . General public will eat this up ... of that I have no doubt. But diehard BMW fans & M enthusiasts , will be leaving in the bunches . 911/Vettes here I come . How in the hell did these morons become chief designers at BMW is beyond me . I'm astonished honestly ... And it's not like this car will have super crazy performance for the money , like certain american sports car .So even that you can't use as a positive to purchase this vehicle.

I know, but these ones were posted by Porsche themselves, not a magazine or online source, it was a failed attempt at making it at least look like a "proper" spy shot.

I don't know why we bother looking at BMW interior spy shots anymore, the entire range is identical interior wise. It doesn't change no matter how much money you spend on the inside... Regular 3 series - 8 Series. Interior is the same design with a slightly different seat design and 'crystal' shifter, because that makes it all okay.

Plus, this generic steering wheel that they're forcing on every car in the range, even the M cars, is boring looking and too chunky. What happened to the engineers and designers of the F30/F80 I bet the M3/M4 doesn't get a different style steering wheel... All becoming very generic

I like the M340 / M440 interiors better than the outgoing generation, but would agree that the outgoing exterior looks better.

Still, considering it's the interior that I'll have to deal with most of the time, I'd weight the importance 70/30 in favor of the interior and performance over the exterior looks.

Hopefully this means we'll be getting the full press release in the next week or two.

Well, if I was a betting man, the US plates will make it look like s***. I'm just guessing, but a small rectangle in the middle of large funky polygon? Nope.
