Tire Pressure
RWD M340 with summer Michelin NON run flats.
Noticing the car is a little jittery on the road. I went into the IDrive to check tire pressure. Greenwich BMW delivered the car with 50 pounds of pressure in each tire. FIFTY! I looked inside the door jamb and it is calling for max pressure 38 pounds. I looked on the tire and it says 340 max pressure 50 pounds. Wondering what pressure your car was delivered with. 50 pounds seems way too high. Thanks |

I have the same tyres as you and mine were delivered with the correct pressure as per the figures on the sticker.
50 is a ridiculous pressure for this tyre.

Change it to 38 and you will be just fine. Sometimes they are over inflated for transportation and the dealership never changes it.

Tyre pressures can change a lot depending on the ambient temperature. If they were inflated when it was cool, and now it's warm, the pressure will increase. How long ago was the car delivered to you? I aim to check my pressures once per week. |

So I reduced the pressure in all four tires by 12 pounds. 17 in the right front!
It is driving like a different car. Shame on BMW of Greenwich for delivering a car that had sticker glue on the windows, had surface scratches that took me a weekend to buff out, had a digital key in the glove box that was not mentioned or activated, and had a sum total of 53 extra pounds of air in the tires. Can't make this shit up. |
