The fine for no front plate in my state is $30. I get pulled over and ticketed for it about once a year. I pay it. I consider it to be my no front plate tax.

I actually emailed all my state elected representatives and told them I would pay $90 a year extra in tax for not having a front plate, could do a sticker on the windshield instead. I wouldn't have an ugly front plate, the state would make more money, the sticker would tell the speed cameras who I am. It's a win-win across the board. They never responded.

Sweet. Although in all honesty, in 20 years living here I have never ever had a front plate. I never saw a ticket either

Thanks for considering
The truth is that no design looks good with the US plate including the F-series but you get used to it. Your sig. picture is a good example of this

Don’t feel bad for those that require front plate, it’ll help cover that ugly front end

It would be something different if, just imagine, Germany would not require front license plates. Then, the owners in other countries that require those front license plates are just unlucky. But at least BMW could say, well here we do not need them and that's why we designed it like this.

But yeah this is not the case and therefore I just cannot understand what they were thinking. Did they just looked at the car without the plates???
I understand where you're coming from, but BMW builds more cars in the US than any other country...they should be considering us.
BMW builds a lot of cars in NC, but isn't China BMW's biggest market now?
Yes. Hence the larger grill. The Chinese market has a huge desire for anybody around them to know exactly what they're driving. They are the new money.

This huge grill may work on X8 and X5... but it is too much for a sport sedan car. Honestly, if the trend is a huge grille, Audi did a much better job long time ago. Disappointing!
