Just curious, where did you get the graphic version of the vehicle you have in your sig?

That vehicle is my car as shown on MyBMW page, under My Garage section. Once you place an order & VIN is issued, you can create an account, plug in your VIN & your build will show up with all the info about your order.

2023 M440 GC is going to be offered in Xdrive and Sdrive - that's what the new price list is showing.

Would Sdrive be a sportier feel ?

Any reviews/ opinions (even if comparative only) out there that could provide an idea on the difference between X and S drive on M440 GC?

Don’t know that anyone has compared them yet—as the 440 RWD GC is not out yet. But, one can assume that RWD would be lighter and a bit more tossable. That said, it would definitely need the M differential to really use the power on tap without losing traction (think pulling out of curves and turns).

RWD should also have lower maintenance costs over its lifetime. And, you do not need to worry about replacing all four tires at the same time if you have an issue with one.

Furthermore, you can also tow the car with the wheels down. An AWD car has to be flatbedded, if in need of a tow.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

But, having owned BMWs of both stripes, I will say the fun gap between RWD and AWD has really closed. There is not as much of a stark difference as there used to be.

Thanks for the insights!
Do you think AWD is be a better choice for safety when paired with a +380hp engine?

Depends on where you live/drive and whether you have another foul weather vehicle. If you do get a RWD version, just be sure to get the LSD installed for an extra measure of safety/traction. And, if you get cold temps and/or snow, you will need a set of winter/tires wheels if the car otherwise has summer tires on it.

Some areas can get away with all seasons + RWD, just depends on whether you will get snow/ice and whether you have a lot of hills.

I got a long fine with my RWD 240i with LSD on Michelin A/S+ all seasons. But, I live in the south.

AWD is the way to go

If you get snow or ice you will need to change to snow tires especially with the M Performance packages. My M440i has too much low end torque for a RWD car in the winter in Michigan.

My 2022 BMW M440i Gran Coupe

Great vehicle. Driving on highway with Assisted and Adaptive Driving is unbelievable. For example, when changing lanes, all I do is put on my signal. If the lane is clear, my car automatically moves me into the lane.

I keep getting compliments on my M440i GC. Everyone loves the color and how aggressive it looks.

That was the only other color I would have ordered. That's gotta look good with the cognac seats.

Tint doesn't come with any package in North America.

That's because it's an SUV...we are talking about sedans here.

I did not see the sedans word in "Tint doesn't come with any package in North America."
