From that angle that is not the front end I want. But I'm pretty sure people will change their minds when they see the performance it makes and the way they can modify that front end like the way we do on our own F80's

I actually really liked the front of the new 3 series, more than the F series, too bad there's not an M340i with a manual transmission. I can deal with the lexus looking tail lights but not this front design. I guess it's going to have to be M3 F80 for me.

they could have made this look so much better, just a tad smaller and better integrated rather than sticking out so much.

front license plates (especially US) will look like CRAP on that thing
at least Euro ones will stretch across entire grill.

I was debating between the new M3 and X3M, think I will pull the trigger on the X3M

Not everything is based on incentives. There's a certain brand value with which people want to represent themselves.

This does not seem like a once motorsport driven, carefully thought out vehicle that captured many enthusiasts' hearts but rather a financial exercise.

Another thing that bothers me is that they have yet to release ANY technical details regarding the engine or transmission or any other innovative technology used to enhance driving fun and performance. During the time of Friedman and Biermann, BMW M was actively communicating with enthusiast base whereas it is now take it or leave it approach.

Not the best day for BMW M.

Scott in the past has said the base 4er will get a diamond mesh pattern. This looks to be M3/M4 front with the horizontal bars in the kidneys.

Hoodline is confirmed now seeing the "leak" picture. Too bad BMW can't get rid of this ugly ass hood line which ruins the whole front view!

putting a license plate on those huge grilles only makes it worse!

Hello to the killing of our iconic brand by incompetent designers and management who support them...

I for one love it. It's a nice aggressive change.

People will still buy the cars. BMW is an iconic brand name that holds prestige and fortunately there are enough vain buyers that take the plunge for those reasons alone.

If someone made a conversion bumper for my late model M3 I'd be a player.

Need to see the entire front end to see how the design of all elements were put together. I will say in a bit disappointed that the grilles are more squared and thinner than those of the latest renders which were wider and rounder.

I think for me, the grilles working will solely be dependent how the rest of the bumper is designed. BMW isn't known for making good looking non-M Sport bumpers.

Yes but other models will offer distinguishing mesh in its lifecycle.
Instead of offering a distinguishing mesh, maybe bmw should consider offering a model with kidneys that aren't being universally panned.
