That’s odd, I was looking at the tracking for the last three days and I didn’t see a boat that left Veracruz heading to Baltimore. I saw the Arc Resolve coming in today and it’s going to be stopping at Altamira and probably offloading some cars there to be taken to Baltimore/Brunswick and NY on a different ship

When I originally found the schedule for the Hamburg Highway it was supposed to go to Bremerhaven from Altamira but went to SC. BMW does have a VPC in Galveston, TX. My order sheet originally said NY port of entry but it was an allocation that was altered to my factory order as well as shifted to PCD. Honestly its all conjecture and hope until the status changes or BMW Genius gives new info.

Alright so I contacted BMW Genius this morning and apparently my car is on a vessel to Baltimore with expected arrival on Feb 13th. They said another 2-3 weeks to get to dealer (Chicago) from there. My prod finish date was Jan 22 and sat in "Ready for transport" until Feb 5 when it changed to "In Transit". They mentioned how it sat at the port in Veracruz a few days longer than expected. This sure is a great exercise in patience...

Did they tell you the name of the ship?

My CA called me this morning and told me I'm on the RCC Antwerp, with an estimated Jersey City VPC arrival date of 18 February. It was a 16 January 165/RFT that became a 5 February 195/In Transit.

However, I see that the boat is already docked in Brunswick, so I don't think it would be that long.

I did not. It was my first time calling and kinda spaced on asking for that.

I am on the RCC Antwerp as well. The ship apparently left Veracruz on 2/2 (quite a few days before my status changed from ready to transport to in transit) and is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on 2/13.

Wow that’s crazy, I didn’t even know that BMWs ship on the RCC ships. That’s a few days before my status went from ready to transport to in transit too 🤔. I wonder if it’s possible I’m on that ship since my port is Brunswick and it just got there today.

I called BMW genius first thing this morning when they opened but they said I still haven’t been assigned a ship. Hmmmm I’m hoping for some good news soon 🙏

I'll reply to your quotes with another quote that I dropped on a separate tracking thread:

Surely their internal logistics systems have to be better than this... As an operations and logistics guy by training, if I couldn't place whether Wavy3495's car is on shore or on a boat, that's a huge issue. Maybe they should just make this a checklist rather than a linear progression?

On an unrelated note, Bimmerpost should really create a unified tracking forum/thread so that we can group by factory and destination... The other two active threads for MX-origin cars are in the G87 and G42 forums, but this is the most active one by a mile. Hello from the G42 order books! :P

Anyone on the Arc Resolve into Galveston? I was surprised to find out my vehicle, which was produced late last month, made it onto a ship already. I think BMW is really trying to get things moving before any tariffs kick in. Previous cars I’ve ordered have taken much longer to get from SLP to the coast and onto a boat. Or maybe I just got lucky timing-wise.

I'm one of the lucky ones on the RCC Antwerp too! The BMW Genius agent told me that's the first time she's seen that ship used. I'm slated to arrive Baltimore Feb 13th and then I just have to wait for transport to dealer in Chicago!

I'm stoked to hear that it's getting so close! The wait hasn't been super enjoyable...

Woooh!!! Just checked my status on the call automated system and it said my build checked into the VPC today 😁so my build did in fact make it on the Antwerp 🙌

I have the MPE getting installed, does anyone know roughly how long the install takes?

My Production date is 1/20. Changed to In Transit on 2/5 (at Veracruz). Checked with BMW Genius Friday and again yesterday. They told me it hadn't been assigned to a ship yet. Automated system told me this morning that my car arrived at the VPC (Brunswick) today, 2/11. The tracking system is crazy.

Yeah, it's frustrating. I got confirmation today from my sales rep that my car is on board the RCC Antwerp with estimated arrival into Baltimore on 2/17. Looks like it's stopping in Philadelphia first then going to Baltimore. BMW Genius was gave me the estimated arrival of 2/13 to Baltimore but the actual expected arrival is 2/17 now.

Yea, I'm seeing that the next port is Philadelphia scheduled for 2/13. That seems to support the 2/17 to Baltimore.

your car is cool and all but sorry there is a whole fanbase of the m340i's that do not have the purple wire under the hood. AKA mild hybrid.
I feel the B58TU non mild hybrid is the very last BMW engine that is all engine.
I'm sure there are bells and whistles for the new model but I feel in 30 years this engine will be highly sought after.

Have fun with your car! downpipe and a tune

My build just got to the VPC today in Brunswick and has now switched from step 14: in transit to step 13: at the Port

My dealer said the estimated delivery to the dealership states the 14th of February but I have the MPE work order that will take place at the VPC. Hopefully MPE install won’t take too long 🙏

Im assuming mine is at Brunswick as well. Must have been on the RCC Antwerp since its the only ship to make port in the last 48hrs/72hrs. Status updated to at "at the port" yesterday. 800 number said vehicle is at the VPC as of 2/11.

Yea the tracking system is trash tbh. I called back to back days asking if my car had been assigned to a ship and every time I was told it was still in Veracruz waiting for assignment. Next thing you know I call the next day and I find out it’s at the VPC in Brunswick 😂
