My contingency plan if I can’t get a build slot
Originally placed my M340i on April 6, 2020 and have nothing to show for it yet, nor does my sales guy.
With custom build orders currently in limbo, and a lot of confusion as to whether the car will actually be built or not, my contingency plan is to custom build or find a 2020 X3 M40i to my liking if they cancel or delay my M340i any further. Already $2500 USD deposited in the deal and its non-refundable, so I am stuck at this point. I am interested if folks are going to wait for the 2021 or just give up and change plans altogether. Whats your contingency plan? . |

Here's a question: would that deposit apply towards a MY2021? Dealers are BS'ing that the current rates and rebates are not going to apply to MY2021, as if the global situation is supposed to magically improve over the next two months. If production is currently halted wouldn't that eventually carry over to a MY2021?

Yeah they have my deposit as well and the plan is to take delivery of an in stock car but I’m delaying and buying time to see My2021 and June incentives.. I have no fear in getting my money back or using it on a 2021... they cancelled my build not the other way around.

If it doesn't work out and I can't get discounts and rebates applied to a my2021 then ill probably move to my first want which is a 2018 911. Its more money and not as practical but I've always wanted one.
