I want to replace the Lower Cover (part number 51-16-7-498-203) on a 2021 430i. I you look at this part you will notice that it has a hole that needs to fit over the mirror assembly. My question is that the assembly is too large to fit this over. The assembly has an arm with a spring in it so the mirrors can rotate in and out. I can't find any information on how to remove the spring so I can replace this part. I think the lower cover on older models was not a hold and could just slide in and out for replacement.
