Thanks. I was told by Genius the ship would reach Savannah by tomorrow, but it doesn’t look like it if it is still in Baltimore. Savannah also has an issue similar to the ports in CA.

Yes, Olympian Highway (IMO: 9757993) still in Baltimore unless another diffrent vessel sailing to Savanna, GA . According to K Line RORO schedules. The vessel suppose to leave Baltimore by October 27 arrived at BRUNSWICK, GA on October 30, & Charleston, SC on November 1. Will keep you updated once I get more informaiton

For those of you who have gotten your M440ix gran coupe, how are you liking it? I almost pulled the trigger on it, but there aren't any around here to test drive, or even look at it in person for that matter....

So I went with a 540xi.

I think I would have been better served with the M440ix gran coupe, but life is full of regrets.... also, wasnt that enamoured of the color selection. If it had the arctic blue or carbon black, I would have done it in a heartbeat.

Just heard from my SA that now touch screens are removed from all builds starting about now. There is a thread on that too.

Congrats, macdaddy_o ! On your 540xi & join the bimmer family. The new launch date for M44i Gran Coupe is not known yet that is why you don’t see it in showrooms, all dealerships in the US don’t even received to show to their potential customers as of this moment of posting.

I believe the launch for the M440 GC is November 15th. So the 16th is when people will upload reviews of the driving and everything all around.

Well, I'll test drive one in the spring, as I'll be locked into my new car for the next 2-3 years.

What interested me was that I could load everything into this car(including dynamic handling package) and be like 10k less than a similarly loaded 540... And while they look different, And the back seat had 2 inches less leg room, overall the differences don't seem that large.

Just disappointed in the color selection available on the M440i gran coupe. If not for that, I might have placed the order sight unseen

I guess I'm glad i ended up opting for the 540. I'm not sure if I would "need" the touch screen, but if I'd ordered the assistant, and it gets removed because of that I'd be pretty pissed

Yes, now there are two cars with exact same specs but missing two different things.
One already reached port with no power seats
Another about to be built with power seats on the buildlist but most likely will not have touch screen.

In a tough spot again as my intent of ordering a M440i with all options is, well... to enjoy all options and certainly the basics like power seats and a touch screen.

My SA just called me an hour ago. I’m in the exact same situation. I reordered last week when I heard about the seats. Now this. I’m just going to take the manual seats and ask for $2,000 off instead of the $1,000 BMW is offering.

The removed touch screen isn’t just the touch screen, it’s also hand gestures per my SA, and the rear break assist. A package worth around $1,500 and BMW is only taking off $500. Dick move by them.

My powerless seats should be here next weekend.

Update on my side:
Just called SA and cancelled my week 45 M440i build with no touch screen. I will jump back in as soon as BMW start to schedule full spec builds (At least with the big ticket items like power seats & touch screens)

According to SA they already got bunch of pre-order cancellations. My dealer is so far handling these gracefully. Feel their pain. Hope they can still sell these cars to walk-in customers as opposed to picky folks like us on this forum!

I can understand removing an option from certain models, or removing options post order, with an 8-12 week lag between order and production.

I can't understand deleting basic features like power seats or touch screens. I would think it should be more of a delay in production, then removal. Production delayed or slowed down by another 4 weeks…. I know they want to produce, but if no one is going to buy, why bother? Really who wants a luxury car without the power seats and position saving?

well sh*t i don't feel as bad about the power seats now. Perhaps that's what bimmer is trying to do. Slowly removing things so you don't feel as sh*tty about the past removal of things... hmmmm

Can these missing features be retro-fitted after the shortage? I think that should be an option as well?
