Great ride. Loved my E46 330i all the way to 205k miles until the head gaskets gave out (M54 cooling system is a b****) My favorite car I've ever owned. Good luck with yours!

Garage List
I have a 2013 Lexus CT200H for daily, drive a lot for work and average 43MPG. My wife also has a Model S we drive on the weekends.

I put maybe less than 100 miles a month on my M currently. I'll drive it more once it cools down.

Well after many years of taking a beating out in the wild while running to Home Depot, the Beach, and the grocery store all the while enduring $4 car washes at the gas station and $20 oil changes etc etc...taking the abuse and never asking anything in return....our beloved 2003 Mazda Protege beater finally met its' match today at the hands of a Toyota Truck (nice truck by the way and equally nice owner - who just happened to make a mistake). The Mazda was basically the automotive equivalent of the tree in the giving tree (look it up if you don't understand the reference)

The family thanks you Mazda Protege....in the end you once again took one for the team as the BMWs sat safely in the garage. And for that we will always remember you and eternally be in your debt.

A fighter to the end we were able to drive her home with glass all over the cabin (sunglasses on so as to not get glass in our eyes as we drove 15mph towards home with hazards on) and the smell of coolant in the air but I'm sure with this amount of damage insurance will determine this will be her final chapter and pull the plug. Fortunately with only 91,000 miles on the clock (after 18 years) her organs are in wonderful shape and I'm confident will be donated to another Protege in need....so she will live on

RIP 2003 Mazda Protege beater

Yes, the i8 is my beater. So I save miles/km on the old one.

New beater now that previous Mazda beater was killed - I picked up a 2007 VW Jetta with 56K miles - and it's a wolfsburg edition which I guess makes it special but I don't know why. 2.5 litres of 5 cylinder inline fury under the hood

2010 535xi Turbo ir.. Old Smokey!! Smokes like heck out the exhaust at every stop in stop and go traffic. Sometimes just idling in a spot for a while will just smoke up.
But the 2016 RAM ProMaster City for too Big for a BMW hauler.

That's so the old X3, 430xi and 328xi sit until i feel the need to drive them.

In Fact I think its time to post a picture anyway.....

I kept getting approached with offers to buy my beater truck - 2002 F-250 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. I was planning on keeping it until the market calmed and then getting a hybrid F-150, but the offers were getting too good so I gave in and sold it. It has now been replaced with an even cheaper beater truck, a 2004 Suburban with a third of the miles of my old truck!

'01 Lexus IS300.

Love it.

Drives like an older Miata, but with 4 doors and a hard top.
And perfectly happy to leave it at the station, airport, or in the city (briefly) to take whatever the world gives it, instead of the 240.

Still worth more to me than the 4K (maybe?) I could get for it on Craigslist.
...Or the $900 a dealer might offer in trade.

how much?

I don’t visit very often so it’s rare I’d see this response.

I still have the Sportcross... and, still don’t drive it much.

I assume you’re asking what I’d take for it?

I’m not sure... if interested, please feel free to message me.

My “beater” was supposed to be a ‘94 Land Cruiser I picked up in Jan of 2020 for $5k… then Covid hit, I spent months restoring it, and now I’ve got a State Farm agreed value of $30k.

Sometimes you get lucky

I am thinking of keeping my son's base '19 Jetta as my beater car. (as he goes off to college)..to be used on days with rough weather, or when I start traveling again I can leave it at the airport and not worry. It is in great shape, paid for, and has the 72 month bumper to bumper factory warranty so I am leaning towards keeping it.

I guess I'll join the club: just picked up a one-owner 2004 Chevy 2500HD Crew Cab with the Duramax diesel. Pics to come soon after full detail, new wheels and full service/inspection.

I have an E36 that I used to daily, now it's sitting and waiting for my son to get his DL. I have a Lexus ct200h that's great on gas and is fun. Ever since I got my G30 I've been daily driving it, but that's going to stop now that I'm going stage 2+ on E30.

What is stage 2 for e30?
I should probably elaborate; I meant stage 2 on E30 fuel.

Stage 2+ for the BMW G30 would be intake, downpipe, and upgraded HPFP. The B58 likes octane, so mixing 91 octane gas with E85 fuel will yield E30 fuel when mixed properly, essentially creating around 103 octane or so. So by E30 I mean fuel, not an E30 BMW.
