Just checked the App Store in the car and Drive Recorder has appeared. Check the online portal and it's showing £15 for a month or £199 one off cost.

Will anyone be getting this?

I'd be interested to see what it records on cars without panoramic cameras since it is (was?) A zero cost factory option on cars fitted with them.

Interesting because mine says unavailable. When did you take delivery? Mine was a Sept 2019 330e.

Interesting, maybe it needs certain options to be fitted at factory.
I have driver assistant pro, I can see three cameras in the top area of the windscreen.

EDIT : just checked my Portal account. I don't have access to it. Mine is Nov 2019 build

You need the 360 cameras, one front, one back and one in each wing mirror.

I must have them as the DAP shows vehicles coming on either side and in front. Also the assistance aids implies it looks for side impact scenarios

It was from the “BMW Drivers Guide” for my car. Once you have a VIN number you can download your cars guide. It is not in the pdf manual I have.

It is in my “BMW Drivers Guide” as I have “Drive Recorder” as delivered on my car.

Just checked my Connected Drive account and it's available for my car. Might give it a try although I do have a front and rear dash cam.

It was free when I ordered mine if you ordered the parking plus pack (360 camaras). Only issue is cams get dirty with salt on the road but other than that it’s brilliant if you are ever in a accident this will give you all the proof you need.

Only thing I find is you can't select the different camera when reviewing and all 4 cameras are a bit small.

Not tried downloading and viewing on my MacBook yet though.

I just spotted this today on the store so have decided to buy it for my 840d.

I've got the Technology Package which for the 8 included Driving Assistant Professional & Parking Assistant Plus. However as it's pre-July 2019 it missed the Drive Recorder from the factory.

£199 seems good value as BMW charge twice as much for their own brand dashcams and this avoids all the messy cabling etc. I hope I never to need to use its but definitely something worth having anyway I think

Had this for a few weeks now and have to say I'm impressed, quality is really good and simple to use.

Only paid for a month initially to see how it works but will be buying the this once it is expired.
