Towbar on G21 Touring M Sport.

Looking at getting a towbar to make life easier taking the bikes; wish I had the electric one from BMW but not paying the 2.5k to retrofit now..

Has anyone here got a detachable one like Oris or Brink with an M Sport; (touring ideally) but don’t think bumpers differ - wanted to see how hidden it was when removed as some seem as if it still shows slightly.

Thanks

I've bought either Witter or Westfalia from PFJones before for fitting to various BMW wagons over the years, and they've actually been less visible when removed than the factory option every time.

My last two i spec'd from factory so went with the electric deployable, but it is visible.

Yeah it’s the ORIS I was looking at from PFJones, that looks good.. Wish I could have found a touring with it spec’d but was looking for ex-demo/bmw car and couldn’t find one with it as an added option!

Says no bumper cuts required which is usually a good sign that it's invisible when detached.
Also says no M340i/M340d, presume yours isn't either of those?

Haha nice; exact same bike as mine in the same colour!! How you get on with a coil shock?

Also, glad to see the E Wild 2.8” fit the Thule rack haha, you’ve helped answer more of my questions without knowing!

Those Butchers were ok in dry and dusty but crap in mud, wet roots, wet rocks, etc.
The 2.8 e-wilds are superb, but I'd say slightly more rolling resistance too. Grip is worth it though.

I've now got a Trailwatts as well so I've got 50% more range - for example after 32 miles at Afan I still had 20% left 👌

Always had air before, the Ohlins coil is brilliant.

Yeah, rolling is a bit slower but wasn’t sure if it was also as I run cushcore. The grip is much better, I hated the butchers.

I’m lucky to have 700w & generally ride on 5% as often now with non e-bikers, but the trailwatts do look good!!

Sorry to hijack the thread, was just looking at the pictures to see how visable the towbar is. Quite obvious, Im thinking about having mine (when it arrives) either painted or wrapped now

Anyone know if its possible to fit the M Performance rear diffuser if you have the factory fit electric folding towbar ?

Ok, found info, it can, carbon one though, stops comfort boot release function(which needs coded) gloss black one however , still works fine. If anyone needs this info, I found it here.
