Thumbs up So They Built a MARCOS Pizza Nearby and...

This is some GOOOOOD F****** PIZZA!!!

Now I'm not saying it's the "world's greatest". BUT... For a "Pizza Chain", it is easily the tastiest I have ever had. A few things that set them apart from Papa Johns, Dominos, etc: The sauce is not overly sweet or tangy. And the crust is simply incredible! Crunchy on the outside and pillow soft on the inside.

Put it this way... They opened a few weeks ago, and between me and my 2 boys, we've devoured at least 10 - 12 pies!

My favorite: Double Pepperoni with Beef & Breakfast Bacon!

The one at Ridge and McKinney county Rd? I thought it really lacked flavor. Plus, they were out of thin crust when I ordered. Now, you might say.....roll out the regular crust a little more and make it a thin crust. They said they couldn't do that.

Have you tried Cadillac Pizza? If you like thin crust, its the best I've ever tried, plus the Sangias are top notch and they have an excellent beer selection.

We have tons of them around me. Pretty decent pizza and their subs/hoagies are pretty good too.

Not a fan of thin crust. Too crunchy.

As usual in North America, it looks undercooked.

Does the sauce have oregano? So many don't or don't have enough.

That's not good pizza lol. Look up what real pizza should be.

Neapolitan-style pizza is the only pizza.

Looks like typical puffy fast-food-style pizza to me. As someone mentioned, it's Neapolitan-style or nothing in my book.

I'm a bit spoiled working in NYC and living in CT and I know good pizza is hard to find in many parts of the country. That said, New Haven has the best pizza in the country. Period. Even has its own wikipedia page. The stuff above looks like something from Pizza Hut.

Some notables:
Frank Pepes Pizzeria
Modern Apizza

A hyper-local favorite: Colony Grill

I never heard of it but looked it up and there is one not too far from me. Take out only though.

We got a new stand mixer before Christmas so I’ve been making my own for the past month. Actually isn’t a ton of effort but it does require some time.

Rick, give it a try and let me know what you think?

The general consensus here ib the states is pretty positive:

Quote:
Ranked No. 38 in all categories in Entrepreneur magazine’s 2017 Franchise 500.
Ranked America’s favorite pizza chain in a Market Force consumer survey.
Ranked No. 3 on Franchise Gator’s 2017 Top 100 Franchises.
Ranked No. 30 on Franchise Gator’s 2017 Fastest-Growing Franchises.
Gotta agree with this review, the cheese is really good! Apparently, it's the only pizza chain in America founded by an authentic Italian. All the recipes are from his family.

Ok. I don't need a lot of arm twisting to eat pizza. Maybe this weekend if I'm over that way.

It's pizza. Put it in front of me and it'll be gone, I don't care who makes it.

I never tried that. I was always partial to the original Marcos, at Royal/Forest. No relation to the current Marcos that he's talking about.
