RWD vs AWD Oil Capacity
Is there a difference in the oil capacity between the RWD and AWD model? Some sites says 6.9 quarts (6.5L) while others like below says 7.6 quarts (7.2L) for AWD model.

NP. Your manual should also have this information in it. I usually fill a bit under 6.5 L to avoid inadvertent overfills; anywhere between min and max in iDrive is fine. BMW even says not to top up until you're at the min mark.

Does the M340i with the "M technik package" with the aditional oil cooler take more oil? On Ravenol's oil finder it says "6.5-7.2 liters" as capacity for the car.

Check your manual. I'd just buy 7 L as normal, fill to ~6.5 L, and take a measurement. Even if you needed to fill to 7.2 L, being short .2 L isn't an issue.

I checked the owners manual and it doesn't list the amount to use and mentioned to refer to the maintenance booklet which I don't have a copy of. |
