So after 3 years I’ve had an email telling me my connected drive service has expired. £89 to renew. Most of what I see doesn’t fuss me, but will it stop me being able to lock/unlock the car remotely from my BMW app on iPhone? Seems to have stopped working 🤔. Ta.

Mine expires in a few weeks too and I've been meaning to look into it. But as far as I was aware, that sort if stuff was part of Remote Services, which is now an unlimited item?

Right thanks. I did wonder. I’m currently charging the battery….see if that helps. I notice the car doesn’t unlock on approach, but does if I simply touch the door handle. Seems to indicate the car is picking up the signal from my remote.

Note that you do have to subscribe to Remote Services even though it's free.

Charged battery with my CTEK charger……sorted it, I did think recent winter temperatures and night drives will hammer the battery. Must shut down comfort access and app connection when low. All fine now
