I have a 2021 with the MPE - and almost one month in, and just about approaching break-in, the MPE is a must IMO. It burbles plenty now and the general tone is just way more aggressive than the stock unit.

Good to hear! Had you shopped around for other aftermarket exhausts before selecting the MPE? Did you look into the Dinan option?

I'm so excited to hear this. I am waiting for the lift at my friend's shop to open up so I can get mine installed sometime this week. I was a little nervous as some threads mention that the sound isn't that much better on the 2021.

Yes, as a matter of fact, Dinan was my second choice. I wanted to be able to control the exhaust flaps, MPE and Dinan allows this.

Think of it as the stock sound on steroids. It’s perfect for my taste - being a family man now, I’ve grown out of the whole waking up the entire neighborhood sounding exhausts.

I ordered mine with port installed. The MPE was on back order, so I got to drive my M440xi around for 3 weeks with the stock exhaust before the dealer installed the MPE. Big difference! Not quite as loud as the MPPSK on my previous 440i, but plenty loud compared to stock. Lots of pops and burbles too.

I actually was fortunate enough to have it port installed without any wait time. Let it break in - I feel like its gotten a bit louder and more burbles as I’ve broken her in.
