Standard LSD is cool. If it can only be bought with that awful LCD display, I am out.

What do you guys anticipate the pricing to be like on theses? Roughly 10K more than the new 330I pricing?

I have a very strong feeling that the M340i will have sub 4 second 0-60 times - even closer to 3.6-3.8 seconds. With the numbers this engine is putting out, and what with BMW usually underrating its engines - even 3.5 is not out of the realm of possibility in automotive journalists like C&Ds hands

My 340i lease is up in March; wish this car would be here sooner. Xdrive this time for me with the power this car is putting out. Good to hear ride height won't be impacted and hoping the rest of the suspension is on par as well.

that bedazzled grill. Just like mercedes. Its like bmw and mercedes had a pact, and said... hey lets make it so that if someone wants more than the 4 cylinder we'll force them to also take an uglier car, so that in the back of their minds they will be like ... f it i''ll just get the m3 / c63 and go all the way and at least get a car that doesn't look weird.

They should put 255s on this at least. The tires being the same width as the 330i, just scream undertired on the RWD model

If we've learned anything from BMW recently then we know not to get the first or even second model year.

If I do end up picking up this vehicle it certainly won't be for it's looks.

This is, overall, a great looking car inside & out, tho the front bumper is a little bit bumpy looking. And that grill 'filler' is not my cup of tea. Shame that M340i buyers are stuck with the new digital gauges in that odd arrangement in what is otherwise a very nice looking interior - even the seats are much more attractive than those in the F30. Only real complaint besides the grill inserts and the gauges is that the rear looks just like a Lexus - not bad looking, but doesn't scream "I'm a BMW" like the front or side.

Main question is how much bigger can the 3er get? I thought my F30 was already too big, but now this is even larger. It's HUGE.

Of course, it's all irrelevant to me since I def was not expecting the stick shift to disappear in the G20 (though we've known that for a while now).

Standard LSD is great. It needs it with this much HP/TQ.

The front is ugly. There's a reason why they debuted it in black, to hide the lines of the hideous bumper. The grille itself is ok, as are the lights (not a fan of the indent I them but the overall shape otherwise is ok).

It's unfortunate there's no manual but that's the trend now. Alas the RWD should be a beast. Albeit one that won't have enough grip lol.

3.5 is not happening imo. The new C43 has similar HP (385) and more peak torque and managed 4.1 0-60 and 12.6 at 111 1/4 mile. The 340 may be somewhat lighter but improvements from 4.1 to 3.5 are not the same as going from 6.5 to 6.0. My guess is we may see a 4.0-4.1 with this car which really is great but what I am really more interested in is to see if this will trap close to 115. My guess is no but we may see 112-113 which would be still be really good for this middle trim Car.

Then you need moar powah because you want to be able to overcome the extra grip with the right foot. Who needs a BMW you can't drift? Everyone does. Then after you have moar powah, you need wider wheels front and back again, and end up with 275 in the front and 335 at the back, like an '80s Countach. Then Tesla comes out with a 2,000 bhp Super Mario power-up, so you want more turbos or whatever, so BMW fits the car with a single back wheel that stretches all the way underneath the car, like a lawn roller.

But then the car ends up twitchier than your average leaseholder - who ain't no race-car driver - can handle, and it ends up going into a tree at 110 km/h on a bend marked at 50 km/h because the drive thought he was god with his single 1875/10 R19 tyre "in back". And everyone posts "RIP" on an internet somewhere.
