Screen Protector

Oh boy, just got this in and not what I was expecting. The one I installed on the X5 was like glass that was beautifully packaged.

This Packaging was shit. I was concerned when I saw the box I thought it was broken. This is just a film. No instructions.

I can't remember what I paid. This can't be good. Anyone get something similar? Don't know if I want to install this.

I got a screen protector like the one in the video & it was a snap to prepare & install.

Having said that, however, it's still a problem on two counts.

First and foremost, it has a gloss finish and there been many an afternoon when the reflection off it creates quite a glare. Additionally, you still have the fingerprint problem-- big time!

I have looking for a IDrive screen protector that has a matte finish, like I have on my phone, but so far no joy

BTW, I had same problem as with another item that arrived in a box that was mangled & had indecipherable instructions

The seller is going to be shipping me the tempered glass one. The X5 has the same but I guess it being bigger I didn't find any glare issues.

Just out of curiosity, is this hard to take off?

Not at all. Using a plastic tool, got one corner up & it then peeled right off

Still am looking for one with matte finish

Hey all.. I just got my 2022 and I haven't pulled the plastic off the idrive screen yet.. did anyone have any luck finding a screen protector with a matte finish?

I just put on the regular gloss one this past weekend. Seems ok. I'm curious as well on the matte finish.
