You're joking right? Understeer? The only way this car understeers is if you have the wrong tyres on. Having tracked the M2C with Cup 2s on, the car sticks like crazy and the only way it becomes unstuck if you push it too hard out of a corner and induce oversteer. The only time I experienced understeer in an M2 on track was when it had crappy continental tyres on.

You didn't like the X3M?
I agree on your M2C assessment. It's not just about the engine but the overall tuning and balance. The M2C is well balanced from all angles!! It almost feels like a NA tuned car with turbo capabilities. Plus it has a personality that's hard to beat.

M2, understeer? What?

Are you maybe thinking the new FWD 2 series? The M2 is definitely not known for understeer.

14.10 update are just of a Comp.

There's no part of a car that makes more of a difference to how it feels to drive than its seats. In the same way that tires are the only part of the car touching the road so they make an enormous impact on all of its handling behavior, the seat is the main part of the car touching 95% of your body except your hands and feet. How it holds you in place, how it communicates what the car is doing to you, and how comfortable it keeps you is very important.

I swear the entire video sound like the ZF 8 until 1:44. I think that is definitely a manual!

Nice post. I had not seen that one yet.

I've read exterior dimensions will be very close to the E92 M3.

M2 is the new M3 and has been for a while. Both in size and spirit.

I LOVED the X3M Competition. But it is, after all, an SUV. A great one, but definitely not as sporty as an M2!

So does that mean that the carbon fiber sport bucket seats will be an option on the competition model?I would assume that they will be if the Comp is testing with them.

Should be quite nice actually. The longer wheelbase should have ironed out the previous bumpiness all the 2 series BMW’s had.

Just saw a G87 M2 with full camo ripping around the Pacific Coast Highway (in Malibu) on Thursday afternoon. It was heading north so I didn't get to see it for more than a few seconds but it did look aggressive.

Honestly it's hard to comments on the hips as we passed eAchother so quickly. Very certainly a new M2, stance was low, quad exhaust, didn't get a good look at the hips with the camo on , however.

Probably tough to tell, but were the grills covered?

I trust that the test mule from 01:46 onwards ('M-DI2435', the one with CF roof exposed, also shown @ 00:32 to 00:37) features a manual gearbox: slow gear shift sound @ 01:53.

Hard to see on the footage, but it also looks as if the driver lifts has his right hand from the steering wheel upon exiting the turn (but then again, some like to shift their automatic gearbox manually).
