62-124mph runs

TC on. 3/4th tank ~E25. No weight reduction at all.

Runs done on the same road up and down. The dragy app shows a -0.02% gradient even though it was done in two directions on the same section. I've noticed my dragy is WAYYYYYYY off when it comes to slope (I was climbing a bridge and accelerated from the bottom to the top and it showed a -3.5% gradient when it should've been +3.5. On the road I do my LC runs, it should technically show a + gradient since it's slightly inclined upwards. But it always shows a negative gradient and it also varies depending on the day even though I have the EXACT same starting point (it has varied from -0.3 to -1.9% on the exact same road, same starting point).

Really nice!! Did you do any stock runs? I'm assuming it would be in the 17 s range.

Yes. Stock cars do it in 16-17s. A 2s drop isn't bad at all for me. Car pulls really well. When I did that pull, there was a young kid in an F30 340i (not sure if it was tuned or not) driving spiritedly and I could easily keep up with him (he wasn't pulling on me).

No complete stock runs. Reason being I run a blend (E25 fuel). I'm waiting for it to almost empty completely before filling up with 93 octane only to do a proper stock run. And I also have to remove the JB4 completely since I have a feeling map 0 doesn't completely disable it and makes the car slower than stock (I could be very wrong though). I know the Racechip I had in my B9 A4 didn't completely disable itself and made the car slower than stock (noticed the difference when I took it off).
Another thing is that the JB4 is so good, I can't bring myself to uninstall it and drive my car in stock form But I will do a run soon for comparisons sake.

What map was that? And what other mods you have besides jb4?

so far it seems like VipinLJ has been leading in trying to get the most performance out of his 330i.

What tires do you currently use? Any other mods planned besides JB4? How are you liking the non M-Sport configuration?

My only engine mod is the JB4 with an EWG connector. I'm running a custom map 6 that was put together by a fellow member after going through many many logs (including on this one). I'm so grateful to him for all the help.

Btw I have subscribed to your videos and follow your posts in the F30 section (you have the fastest F30 if I'm not wrong). If I had bought my car, I'd definitely do all mods you have done

I actually haven't been trying much at all. I got a custom map 6 that I am more than happy with. Since this is a DD, I don't want to push it too much. Plus, it is a lease. Which is why DP and exhaust mods don't make sense to me unless I plan on buying it at the end of the lease. I wish I could get some dragy numbers from proper tunes such as a stage 1/2 G20 330i with BM3 to see how good those cars are (basically how good those tunes are for our cars).

I am running Michelin PS A/S 3+ in the OEM size (225/45 R18). I didn't go for a different size because the OEM rims are small and again, lease car. So it doesn't make sense to me to get better rims for it

Same with mods. I did get a BM3 in January 2020 (before anyone knew about locked DMEs). That bricked my car because it was locked. And there weren't any unlocking methods available back then. Which is why I got the JB4. But no other mods. I would have done a charge pipe upgrade since it's kinda doable as a DIY but I read many threads saying it doesn't make sense on the B46/48/58 unless you plan to go real crazy with it.

I like the non-M sport (except for the sport line bumpers and steering wheel). I drove an M sport car and sport line back to back. The M sport suspension was stiff compared to the sport line car. Where I live at, it's straight roads for days. Not a curve in site (unless you count exits on the highway). Plus roads here are terrible. The base suspension is very comfortable. Coming from a B9 A4, the handling of the base 330i is leagues ahead of it. So I ended up getting the sport line. Plus no one expects a base 330i to be fast Sleeper status.

I just got my Dragy, finally!!

Here's the first results.

2020 BMW 330e G20
Fuel: Petrol Ron 98 (80% tank full)
Tyres: Pirelli Cinturato P7 (non-runflat)
Completely stock
Temperature: 11ºC
No launch control
ESC in traction

Best runs:






I'm really happy with the results. I wasn't expecting 5,52s 0-100km/h on the first try and with no mods and no launch control.

They make a non runflat version of the Pirelli P7? I wasn't aware. Anyways, nice time!

Yes, I was also surprised. I thought they were all runflats, but I went to check for any signs on the tyre that mentioned runflat (like a symbol or abbreviation) and found nothing. I got suspicious so I called the dealer and asked if they were runflat or not, and they confirmed they are not runflat.

I guess that helps the performance a little.

If it was the 6cyl, yes you need a new car to compete. If it was any 4cyl model (besides the new 2022) and you got walked, they were not stock.

Yeah it was the v6 model. I think those are as quick as my f30 335 or just a smidge slower. But it seemed to pull away from me really good. Im like go Kia. Dont get me wrong the 4 banger in this 330 is awesome. It makes it feel like you indeed have a 6cyl. Until you going home and everyone wants to test you lol. I admit I am anxious for me when im getting walked buy durangos on a saturday night. Crushes the soul lol

Those kia stingers are pretty quick for being Kia's. The v6 will smoke any stock 330i easily. I think even modded 330's will have trouble.

Don't feel bad, you would dust a Kia Forte, lol.

vTuga Very good numbers for stock and no LC. Did you brake boost?

JTYAMSHAYIN Yes. My A4 B9 had non-RFT P7s. They were absolute shit. Used to flat spot like crazy and no grip.

vincechase Kia Stinger GTs are fast! 0-60 in 4.5-4.6s and quarter miles in 12.xx seconds. Lovely cars too.

No brake boost. Just flooring the accelerator, with stability control in Traction and transmission in S mode. But I think the instant torque of the electric motor helps it launch and bridges the gap until the turbo kicks in.

I never tried launch control or brake boost before. I'll have to experiment a little with it.

About the tyres, they are not very good indeed, the grip could be better.

Not yet, still waiting for the package to arrive. I'm keeping an eye on the tracking, but it seems to be stuck in the Netherlands for almost 2 weeks

But at least it allowed time for the dragy to arrive and for me to get the stock runs without the box installed.
