A/C working sporadically

My A/C recently started to work very sporadically. It will sometimes start off very cool as usual, then crap out and not blow cold air. Sometimes does not blow cold air at all. What is strange is that when I put it on MAX A/C, cool air will blow out of the corner vents on the dash and stay cold the whole time, so I don't think this is an issue with freon. This coincidentally started happening very recently after going in for service (they also fixed some software recalls while I was there). Could this possibly be a software glitch? Is this something the dealership should look at?

check cabin air filter, if not serviced properly could affect to air blown from AC. Maybe dealer didnt put it correctly, this is not the first time that i see it on a g20

I Had a Similar Issue

To answer your question, it absolutely could be a software glitch. I had a very similar situation. I had my car in for software updates in the early Spring and when I got the car back, it seemed that the AC was not working as well as I remembered, but I kind of ignored it. As the weather got warmer I finally realized, hey, I'm hot in the car! Then I figured out that the driver's zone was putting out much warmer air than the passenger and rear seat zones.

I took the car in and sure enough, somehow during the software updates a part of the climate control became "miscalibrated". They hooked up the computer and checked everything out and did some software magic and all was good once again. No drama.

So, just take the car back to the dealer and they will be able to sort it out.
