It allows us to afford the cars that many of our clients drive thus forming a common bond of driving the same car.

Thanks for rubbing it in our faces. Apparently employees can get 3 series for $200/month and M4 for $500/month.

you can not get a M4 for $500/month with out significant $$ down. Can in point, the poster saying they got a 435 for $511....AFTER almost 4 grand out of pocket. Without the $$ down it would be closer to $610.The i3 lease is great but that is definitely helped by BMW giving you the full $7500 tax credit up front. But still, not $200 without $$ out of pocket. Still, this is very nice....but detail guys arent driving around new Mcars for Corolla money. |

The only thing keeping me from having an M340i right now (for a cheaper payment than my X3 M40i) is the 12 month rule.

inventories have finally caught up, discounts are near double digit again, and there are more cars than buyers. Of course BMW is going to make it easy again to lease for everyone - employees included. Let's see what happens when interest rates drop after fed cuts.

I don’t know about BMW current lease rates, but I leased a Toyota in Feb and the money factor was equivalent to 8% (not good). I planned to take the up front cash incentive for the lease, and pay off the lease early, so I wasn’t that worried about the money factor.
Based on my limited investigation of leasing, I think that many offers prey upon those who have a champagne taste and a beer budget. The lease costs are stated in terms you don’t see when you purchase a car (money factor, acquisition fee, residual value, disposition fee, etc.), and most folks don’t really understand the impact. However, they do get a really nice car for a relatively low monthly cost, which is exactly what they want. |
