Rattling Noise Coming from Exhaust (g20 330i)
I've noticed a weird rattling noise coming from the exhaust. It's high pitched and very noticeable when revving while the car is parked.
If you have any idea on how to fix PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'd rather not make the trip to the dealership. -->>I attached a youtube link so you can hear it for yourself. |

Sorry to hear that , I read somewhere on the forums an owner had the same issue and it was to do with a loose heat shield under the car vibrating against the exhaust , he took it to the dealer and they fixed it so maybe it is that |

I wonder if they thought this was OK or they never noticed it in the development stage? The silver star in the middle of my old Merc's steering wheel would laser a hole in my retina on sunny days.

Funny that when I called roadside they were so coy about "can't give technical advice" and basically declined to say what brand/viscosity could be used and instead had to wait for a technician??! Quicker to have walked the 2km to the nearest repco |

you could have just used the supercheapauto website, when you put in your REGO it should point you to the correct oil for your vehicle based on vin/rego.
i got Castrol Edge 5W-30 A3/B4 for my X3 usually i would use LiquiMoly Or Mobil1 |

Hi All
Interesting thing happened to me the other day, think it was mentioned before. Opened the boot ad threw my jacket inside, then I closed it, and after it closed it automatically opened again !! I thought what and pressed the button again, same thing happened Damn boot, its broken !! Then I realised my key was in my jacket pocket and the car does not allow you to lock your key in the boot Good car !!! Still in awe of all the tech in this machine |

Nope mine has never done that, always defaults to comfort, maybe its your firmware version, does your "e" car have a special version?

I found the fatigue assistant is a bit unreliable. After 150km continuous driving, lots of yawning and associated noises, a few lane keeping reminders - doesn't do a thing.
Next day, after stop-start 10 minutes in the city it says I need a break. ??? Does anyone know what is being used to determine "fatigue" in our cars? Eye movements /lane drift / comparison trip data? |
