At this point I have low confidence in taking delivery by the end of November as I was originally told - especially after seeing how long transport has taken for others in this thread.
my order was received 9/10/2020 - very similar, mine just entered into Quality Control today. I was told 2nd week in Nov as potential delivery - however I tend to agree with you - could be later.

[edit] - as I wrote this I moved into Final Assembly - so the it took 3 weeks to get into Production, yet only 2 days to get all the way to Final Assembly - plus to everyone else who posted, the tracking page is usually behind actual progress. So I'm still hoping!!

Does anyone have a car coming from Europe on the Garnet Ace? It left port but I'm not sure when it will reach the US or how long it takes once here to get cars to dealers in Massachusetts. Thanks for any updates!

My BMW is on the way

Just got off the phone with BMW Genius. They informed me that my 2021 330e is on APHRODITE LEADER vessel right now, heading to the states. The destination port is Oxnard and it is expected to arrive this week. Fingers crossed!

From what I've seen (past experience and this go around as well) it will sit at status 150 for 2-3 weeks and then the actual amount of time it takes to build the car is only 3 days or so.

Good question. I just wonder what it's doing right now...it was moored in Galveston and now it's just been sitting, anchored, at sea south of Galveston for days. When is it going to get moving again?

Just out of curiosity, am I the only one waiting for a car on the GLOVIS SOLOMON to get delivered to BMW of Warwick in Rhode Island?

Does anyone else have a car on the Garnet Ace heading to New Jersey? Does anyone know when it arrives?

Your salesperson or a BMW Genius agent should be able to give you a scheduled arrival. That being said, it seems like all the ships are getting delayed lately.

It recently docked at Freeport. So hopefully it stays on schedule and avoids the hurricane, as at the moment it’s basically right in the direction of it where the hurricane will hit Friday. Not sure where the next stop would be after this one.

Huh, yes I see that! I wonder why it was first docked in Galveston, and now docked in Freeport. Could it be in Freeport to ride out the hurricane? Seems odd to make two stops so close together, but then again, I'm not a ship captain...

The ETA is still October 18th to Port Jersey (NJ).

My guess is that it will have 1-2 more stops before it arrives in NJ as it only will take 2-3 days from the gulf to get to NJ if it went straight there.

Yeah not sure either my guess is as good as yours haha. I guess we’ll see within like the next 2 days before the hurricane if it moves before then we should be good and on schedule! If not then who knows. Idk if it’s possible to see all the exact stops the boat will make and the ETA of them as we’d have a better picture with that to see if it’s still on track.

I hope it stays that way! And damn I wish it didn’t have any more stops so we get that 2-3 day delivery, that would be so nice.

Well, yesterday it was "In the paint booth", but I checked this morning and it skipped all the way to "Awaiting carrier assignment." Hopefully it wasn't a rush job... but there is still a chance for November delivery after all!

I guess I should have spoken to a human being instead of relying on the automated phone system/website.

My guess is that it has to stop in SC and Baltimore before NJ.

I am just hoping for it to be on time. I have another brand lease that I dont want to make another payment on and its cutting it close.

It’s stopping at Port Brunswick too, my car gets dropped off there. That’s supposed to be on the 11th, not sure if it’ll still make that ETA though.

Brunswick is the stop I was referring to when I said SC. That's nearby where the performance center is and the other BMW factory and rail yard.

The ship seems to be wandering around Baltimore... The annoying things is that it needs to head to south of Delaware before going north up to New Jersey, which is another day or so.

Yep. Emailed my CA this morning and he responded a short while ago:

It looks like the ship had to dock in MD for some reason, and the date that it’s supposed to arrive in NJ is the 13th as of right now.

Usually when a vessel is scheduled to stop in MD it would show in my system, but I’m not seeing a scheduled stop in MD.

If I get any notes on the vessel I will definitely let you know.

At least your CA is being responsive lol... I don't think it would be the hurricane either since this ship is already up north Everything is delayed these days
