I actually found out that I can turn off the Auto Start/Stop with the button in the center console. Too bad I can't turn it off permanently..

No idea what the tools are supposed to be used for since there's no spare tyre. Anyone have any idea of the purpose?
If its the same as in the UK, there is a security wheel nut key, towing eye bolt and a screwdriver. I guess it's handy when you need to pop this covers off.

Actually when you go in sports mode it's disabled.

On a side note, how do you guys open your bootlid cover, i see no place to grab and instead I use a screwdriver...

You mean the trunk floor carpet? BMW did a half-assed job there by not providing a handle. I use a trim removal tool to hook it beneath the floor and then pull it up.

You're not missing anything with the auto headlights. That was the second feature I turned off. The first being the active lane keeping with steering intervention.

How do you turn off the steering intervention? Whenever I try it says feature will be re enabled on restart.

I'm sure it depends on the country. But in the US, just uncheck the box and it's off

Mine started to intervene on it's own with the box unchecked. I checked the box turned off the car, started the car unchecked the box, turned off the car restarted has not intervened again.

Good Luck!

Is this discussion, on lifting the trunk floor, referring to with or without the space-saver spare?

I learned the sunroof when opened does not slide all the way back, only opens 3/4 of the way. Unlike the F series where after opening it would slide back to 3/4 then you could hold the button once more to get it to slide all the way. Can't do this on the G series

Yeah, which makes no sense, because at the end of the day I still need to open it.

Only at the end of the day?

If you close the boot with the key inside the boot/trunk, the lid will close then open automatically to save you from locking the key in the boot/trunk!

I found this out when I did this unintentionally & got a sinking feeling thinking I had locked my key in the car. Then magically the boot opened a second or so later!

I tried doing this but found that the belt buckle rattled against the rear shelf. Also what do you do with the female end of the buckle that is attached to the seat? It doesn't have an area to tuck into the seats, so my kids found it even more uncomfortable with it just sticking out of the seat.

Front windshield glass is the best I’ve had on any vehicle. Good size rock bounced right off at 80mph. Not even a chip!

Have been playing around this myself. You can actually place either tongue into the parcel shelf holder. Placing the seatbelt buckle into the holder may prevent the rattling (but doesn't look as neat!)

I found out that if you flash your headlights, to let someone out, it deactivates auto-high beams. Frustrating.
