Hmm I find auto high beams frustrating. One of the first "features" I turned off.

With adaptive cruise pro running, the dash display will differentiate between a car and a box truck. A box truck will display as a box truck instead of a car. I thought that was pretty amazing.

Same if you are behind a motorcycle, it will show as a motorcycle.

Additional "Assit Plus" icon appear under right conditions, you cannot activate it manually, car will tell you it is safe to take hands off the steering wheel, Green lights on the steering wheel indicate "Hand-Off" mode.

I learned you can set the heated seats to come on when you're below a set temperature via the climatic menu.

I also learned that whilst car play is convenient, nothing beats a wired connection. Car play uses Bluetooth audio for calls but wifi for audio. The audio is compressed, uploaded to the iDrive and then decompressed. There is a significant loss in music quality.

I don't know if APTX HD Bluetooth protocol is better than wifi but it's not available on the G20.

It's a shame you cannot use car play via a USB.

Either or both. Interesting though. With iOS there is not too much lag but the music does randomly cut out like a CD that is skipping. Takes me back to the anti-skip CD days.

In the UK, yes I can with an M Sport Plus package.

Not sure if this is the case everywhere.

You can connect your iPhone to the iDrive via USB and not use CarPlay.

You can plug your iPhone into the USB port inside the console. This will connect it to iDrive, and music can be played through the media menu in iDrive. The iDrive menu even allows you to search and browse the music.

If you use your M card to open the car and then open the boot manually from the outside then the auto boot close lock button does not work which locks all doors
