Interesting...Did you ever check your VIN with the decoder tool? If so, did it have a RAM retrofit code?

Yes, I checked and no mention as to why I was in Quality Check and no mention of RAM.

I plugged in my car's VIN and discovered that it had been held up for two defect codes:
Checking installation of camera and TRSVC control unit AND retrofitting the receiver audio module.

This info likely explains why my car was held up for 6 weeks at Bremerhaven port.

How to interpret the results? There are three defect codes reported for my VIN and all three indicate ‘no recall’ but show ‘open’ for ‘VIN status.’ My car has been at Bremerhaven port for only about 6 days.

This post from the G80.82 forum suggests that although the above info is from BMW, it still may not be correct. We won't know until they ship if all the work orders are closed.

Contacted my CA today, she said my car appears to be ready for transport from factory. However I don't know how much I believe what I'm being told, One thing I'm glad of is they are doing good quality checks and catching these defects before delivery. That would be the last thing I would want to deal with once delivered. Will all have to post a picture of our cars once received.

They're not catching "defects", they're just completing the build process by retooling components, such as the amplifier so that everything is installed correctly.

And if so, are they part of the hifi or HK audio options?

I believe it's the HK audio amplifier. The waiting is killing me! Does anyone have a time frame? I'm assuming six weeks from the point of stuck in quality check.

Time frame? I'm hoping that 6 weeks is the worst case, but they keep moving the goal posts. The worst case keeps getting worse.
