For anyone interested in an Active Autowerke Catted Downpipe...I highly recommend it! Here's a video I put together showing the difference between stock and then adding the downpipe. My car is a 2020 (Stock Tune) so it will be louder than the 21+ models.

Question they claim no cel light on their catted down pipe have you gotten any error messages? I definitely want to get one to pair it with my MPE.

They are the only company that guarantees no CEL. That's why I went this direction. I haven't had an issue yet and don't expect to but it's only been 5 days since the install.

Sweet car!!

Been waiting for mine to ship since it was ordered back on the 17th. The wait is killing me but looking forward to getting this installed on my 2021 w MPE.

we sold hundreds of AA downpipes.

the downpipe will trigger the check engine light once or twice during the break in cycle. But after that you are set.

in the rare occasion that the CEL comes back, Active will replace the downpipe right away.

If the CEL is a concern, the active autowerke downpipe is the best option in my opinion.

I just got mine in today and tried to install it. Everything was going smoothly until it was time to connect the AA DP to the exhaust. I cannot for the life of me get it to fit back into the OEM exhaust. Do you have any tips for getting the AA DP to fit back into the exhaust? Did you mount the DP on the bracket first or did you fit it snug into the exhaust, and then mount it to the bracket and turbo?

Really appreciate the help.

I believe I mounted it on the bracket first then used it as leverage to push/wiggle the stock cat back over it.

Is the clamp all the way loose? If so you can try some kind of lubricant spray like wd40 or liquid wrench to help get the pipes seated. But it will take a good 10 min or so to burn it all off afterwards.

The clamp is completely loose. I also tried WD40 and still was not able to get the down pipe into the midpipe... I'm losing hope lol I'm thinking of taking the car to a shop and have them do it for me. Hopefully I can drive without them actually being connected.

I saw on either another post or YouTube video where someone had a similar problem and they used an exhaust pipe spreader to open it up a bit to get it to fit. You can try that option I guess.

Yes, I used this tool when installing my DP and it is a must! Without it I would have never been able to finish the install.

I had to chamfer the edges of the OD of the outlet on the downpipe using a file to get it to slide into the stock mid pipe. It was very difficult to get the outlet to slide into the mid pipe even after doing that. I'd say it was the hardest part of the install for me, laying in the driveway with the car on ramps.

I ended up bringing it to a shop and they helped me expand the midpipe and I was able to get it in. They did it free of charge as well! The only thing I'm concerned about is if I got the downpipe into the midpipe "far" enough. It seems like there is still a good amount of space left outside. But the midpipe can't go forward anymore and it on the bracket already

How much of your downpipe is sticking out after you clamped it down on the midpipe? I got it in but it seems like there is still too much of the downpipe sticking out.

If you open up the mid pipe clamp you will see a cutout slot that will show you exactly how deep the DP is seated into the Mid.

I just installed mine a couple days ago and was having the same challenge. What worked was loosening from the DP vclamp and the bracket so we could get more play affecting the insertion angle from the DP. After battling for over an hour this did the trick right away.

Good luck!

Guaranteed no CEL. I’ve had my AA catted dp installed for about 20k miles and no cel. I think it sounds phenomenal paired with my MPE. Installed on a MH MY22.

I also experienced the same - not sure if got it in far enough uhhh huhuhuh.
It is very loud when cold starting but when idle settles down it seems okay, I am not detecting any leaks.
