The front looks better, I actually like the headlights without the notch, before it looked like a Peugeot 3008. But now they messed up the back which was fine before... that "diffuser" is a mess.

I have a 2023 M340i on order. Getting rear drive because it will never be driven in snow. Hope to get before the end of the year. Has anyone been able to get a production number for their order?

Am I the only one that hates the loss of the shifter? Not to mention the horrendous Idrive 8 design that makes literally nothing easier to operate on the move.

Is it just me or is there no front tow hook spot? I have one on order and want to use the front tow hook to mount the license plate.

Wish we had the amber rear turn signals in the US.
This looks sleepy

My exact thought too. Looks like nice leather now
I'm willing to bet those are Canada and European seats only. The pre-LCI versions in those countries had the Merino leather with that stitching. I wish America would get that too, that was probably the biggest reason I didn't pull the trigger on that car, other than cooled seats too, just went full M3.

Vernasca just felt plastic-y to me. I know others felt the same too. The merino takes that interior to another level.
Yep I would be those seats are merino ,need in USA!

Is that still on transit blocks? If not, I can't believe the size of the tire/wheelarch gaps...

The perforated sensatec seats are more comfortable anyway, it's either that or merino for me

Pretty happy with the LCI given how badly it could have gone. I ordered in February knowing I'd be getting an LCI and liking the current model I was waiting to see what BMW would do. Obviously subjective but I prefer the front end and although the ticks are nice the new lights look equally as good and way better than the non-laser DRLs.

I like the rear on the touring apart from the bit of the diffuser on the side that houses the reflectors. The bicolour 792s are way nicer than the standard wheels on the pre LCI and I didn't really like cerium grey or the black wheels. M Wing mirrors are a nice touch and I'll wait to see how I get on with the big screen once I get used to living with it. Might try and get familiar with using voice commands, kinda works with Alexa I suppose.

Not a fan of the gear lever but I didn't really use it much anyway. Love the frozen Tanzanite blue but the better half doesn't like blue so gone with Brooklyn Grey as we both seen an M4 in that colour and liked it. I got to choose everything else including the car so I'm more than happy to concede on the colour

Yes for all LCI models onwards until a new design language happens.

It might just be the camera angle but I think it's took away the aggressiveness and replaced it with smartness, the loss of the barb in the headlights is amplifying that for me..... Whereas the rear although a bit heavy handed is given a more aggressive look.

Don't like the individual wheels they add nothing imo.

So frustrating that other countries can still get the power tailgate. I think I am most upset about them cutting that and the kick to open feature. Stupid parts shortages.

Agree! Will never own a car with a slapped on screen for as long as I can avoid it. The front looks great. Shame!

  • LCI DRLs look good, but prefer pre-LCI notch and that the pre-LCI DRLs stay lit when the turn signal is on. The bumper's massive mouth looks...alright.
  • The rear diffuser is complete donkey and looks terrible.
  • I don't like the lack of a shifter, but that's where the industry is going with automatics. I would prefer not to have some tiny switch as it is a place to rest my hand when driving.
  • The tablet kickstand look is awful, and the lack of physical buttons for things sucks.
  • Leather looks the same except for some extra stitching that likely won't be available in the US. The M-sport seats aren't available in the US like Canada and other markets. I much prefer the look of those seats and wish I could get them :/
  • Power is the same, but I hear that could change next year along with additional exterior changes.
