Any way to code turning vehicle off using start engine button?

When I picked up my car, there was a "vehicle off" button in the right most of drop down menu. It is gone after dealer reprogram my car.

Now after i use the start/stop engine button to turn off the engine. If I press it again without the brake, it prompts me "pleas press brake pedal to start the car" instead of turning off the car (i.e. turn off music, both screens.) which my f32 with iDrive 4.2 did.

Any way to code it back? Right now after I turn off the engine. The only way to turn off vehicle is to open the door. But if i close the door with me in it. Screens are back on. And now they won't turn off even i open the door again. They won't turn off if press the start engine button without the brake.

Wtf......

I had a hard time trying to actually understand what's going on there..

I'll tell you how mine is. To turn on the engine you need to press the break pedal, to turn off the engine there is no need to press the break pedal, I have auto hold turned on, not sure if that makes a difference. After turning the engine off the radio keeps playing until I open the door, and everything shuts off when I lock the car.

Also, you can turn on only the radio if you press the start button without pressing the break pedal.

Is there a "vehicle off" button in the drop down menu in your idrive?

Press up on any screen, scroll all the way to the right. Just past screen off should be vehicle off.

You can also press and hold the radio power button I believe

Both of these are true for me. Version 07.2019.40.

Thanks for the tip about holding the radio power button, didn't know that one.

Ok. I just got a loaner 330 with 07/2019 software. There is "vehicle off" in the idrive menu but engine button doesn't work. Guess it is the "expected" behaviour??
