I don’t think you can code the exhaust valve to be open all the time. You’ll have to unplug the exhaust valve controller when the valve is open or use something like JB4 to keep the valve open all the time (I have a JB4).

Thankfully that is not exactly true.

You can have the exhaust valve permanently open, irrespective of whether you're in Sport, Comfort or Eco mode. (You need ASD disabled for the benefit of actually hearing your real exhaust, otherwise ASD drowns the exhaust sound out)

Code with Bimmercode Expert mode which will add SPORTY setting to your engine sound menu, which currently has 3 settings:
Depending on driving mode
Balanced
Reduced

The Sporty setting will keep the valve open constantly.

Switch on Expert mode under HU_MGU. Type in the word sound, you'll then see 2 options, enable both.

SOUND KONFIGURABILITY & SOUND KONFIGURATION.

Click code and wait for it to complete, then check your engine sound menu settings and you should see the additional Sporty setting

I’ve done that on my car. It gives me the engine sound option but it does not stick. When I turn the car off and back on later, it reverts to the “Depending on driving mode” setting, irrespective of what I’d selected before.
I meant a coding that would permanently leave the exhaust valve open and only controls the valve actuator and nothing else. The engine sound coding changes the valve actuator as well as the ASD.

It'll always revert back to "based on mode" or whatever. What I did is save it under my #7 quick button on the dash and when I want to go into sport exhaust mode, I just hit that and it opens the menu up immediately. There's no memory setting for this that I've found like there is with Auto Stop/Start.

Is ASD present on the 320 model or just 330+?
