How did you get a MPE?
The car's U.S spec, I'm in the Air Force stationed out here in Italy. I inquired about the MPE at my local BMW dealership and they ordered it for me, the car has no particulate filters (like all U.S models) just a straight pipe after the downpipe and then the M performance muffler.

OK, your location was misleading. Indeed, there is normally no way to get a MPE in Europe as it's not homologated.

Its a shame that there's not a euro version for the exhaust, sad to say but I'm sure in the next couple of years most cars are going to be really quiet due to laws/noise regulations. I get dirty looks from law enforcement if I hold onto a gear for too long even if I'm going 5 under the speed limit. The elderly in my neighborhood are not a fan of the noise Haha, but being American and owned by the government, I tell them it's U.S legal and they don't bother harassing me.

Nice! Sounds like our cars are getting built together.

The car drives beautifully. Enjoy it.

If you want a loud car, tune the BMW or buy an american 'sports' car with loud exhaust and absolutely zero refinement.
Huh? Sorry I was asleep, my new alarm is not as loud as my old one. I will leave this here.

That interior... Total Caddy. And not in a good way.

Wake me when their fit & finish is up to par with the Euros.

This car feels like the epitome of all sizzle, no steak

I still have PTSD from test driving a CTS in 2011 with the Cue system.

Also the CT5 Blackwing pretty much as the same 0-60 times as the M340/M440 because no AWD. I am sure it will pull harder from there, but with the crappy transmissions and no AWD all the power goes to WASTE.

Somebody with M340i from EU with MPE ?
I asked in out dealership about the MPE for my G21 M340i ‘21 and they say.. there is not such thing for EU market...

So, is there anybody who can clarify the fit of MPE on EU spec cars?
If the fitment is plug&play i will order it on my own.

If I'm not mistaken, it's not the same fitment so it's very difficult to install it. I read that recently but I can't remember where...

Otherwise, you have some choices in EU for homologated sport exhausts: Remus, Milltek, Eisenmann and very soon Akrapovic

I don’t understand the obsession in recent years with exhausts making pops and crackles! I preferred the traditional deep, smooth and velvety straight six sound of the “Big” (M30) and “Small” (M20) engines that were used in theSeventies and Eighties!

Agree.

I really prefer a 'sleeper' car. It's why I debadged my M5 and will do the same with the incoming M3. While anyone who knows the brand will be able to easily spot the bodykit and exhaust, I don't really want a ton of M everywhere.

The M3 you have on order certainly doesn't fit the bill of a "sleeper car" lol

Yeah the new M3 is definitely not a sleeper in any way. My neighbor has one in his driveway right now (guessing he works at BMW NA) and it immediately stands out.

Hey, I'm in the same boat, test drove X4 M40i 2019 with pops and crackles and bought X4 M40I 2020 (MY 11/2019) CPO with 10K miles no pops and crackles. What Software update is on your M40i now ?
