Purchasing pre-owned M340i with stage 2 FBO
I have an opportunity to purchase a 2020 pre-owned m340 that's already been modded with a stage 2 tune, flex fuel, along with full bolt-ons.
Being in CA, my understanding is beginning 2019, a brand new car does not require smog certification for eight years, even if it's sold to another person. Can anyone confirm this? I would be esp curious to hear from those who have experience purchasing a pre-owned m340 that's been tuned already, and did not have to deal with having it smogged through the change-of-ownership status.
