1. The Tesla Roadster is looking mighty fine and the performance specs are insane. 1.9s 0-60, 600 mile range (probably more like 200-300 under hard driving which is STILL insane), room for golf clubs, etc. I just wish it cost closer to $100,000 than $300,000.

2. BMW i4's seats look VERY concept and straight up uncomfortable. I've sat in enough high end futuristic modern chic design furniture that looks like that to know it's always uncomfortable as hell. Hate it. Take the massage seats from an X5 or something and put them in there I dunno. I'm just looking at those interior shots going "noooooope."

Nothing concept about that interior, looks really similar to Mercedes. Plus Mercedes will blow away everybody with their new interior in their next generation. Now BMW is also behind design wise as well. Even Honda's and Toyotas look better and not that busy.

Quite like it, possibly a contender for the next car once I have pumped enough carbon into the air from the X3M.

Agreed.

The rose-gold and blue looks absolutely nasty together.

I don't understand why BMW is trying to get into the big grille game now (and doing such a piss-poor job of it). Audi's been at it since the mid 2000s. It just seems derivative and non-genuine (whatever the word for that might be; insincere, perhaps?). They should've just gone with a sleeker, smaller, classier interpretation of their twin kidneys.
I understand trying new interpretations of the grill and having some hit and misses...but what I don't get is why mess around with the hoffmeister kink?!?!? Its such an unmistakable detail that makes a BMW look like a BMW from the side view and makes any profile look much sportier!...theres absolutely no gain whatsoever in erasing it or shifting to an AUDI-esque shape...It just screams change for the sake of change...
Unforgiveable mistake from the design team that are trashing their own heritage.

To prove the point I made a quick photoshop.

No. Actually, it’s more like BMW found its way; finally striking, bold designs are coming.

I’m glad BMW doesn’t listen to people who are resistant to change.
This is a great design, I’m looking forward to the production version.
I think all BMWs with old front end will be hit in resale, as this is a very distinctive and sharp depart from old design.

I hope G20 and G30 get similar front ends with LCI.
Otherwise they will look super dated.

I mean that's another way to look at it. Just not a fan of the new stuff. Guess I'm in the minority.

These outlandish grills will never take away from the classic kidney grills of yesterday.

It's to bad BMW couldn't reinvent the kidney grill without such overkill.

I don't believe anyone has achieved any meaningful sales success (in the private US market) building an alternatively-powered vehicle that shared the same appearance as an conventionally-powered version. Sales results show buyers value a distinct look that is immediately recognizable as an EV.
