That sucks for anyone with an order in and still waiting. I still have not heard from my sales advisor or sales manager with an update on stage of production or new expected completion date. I wonder if the PCD is going to be cancelled?

As of 3:44pm EST 5/6/20 my sales manager says the plant is supposed to open back up on the 18th. As of now the performance center is closed and they have cancelled all the deliveries through there for the time being.
Perhaps PCD deliveries will start back up at the end of the month or start of June!

Has anybody else heard any updates from their SA regarding pending orders in the US? Still no production number or updates from my SA as he states that he doesn't know anything....

Nope, he said maybe I'll get more news at the end of the month but he doesn't have any specifics.

That seems about right which is why I’m compromising on a few options and buying something already on a lot. I want to enjoy the M340i while I have perfect conditions which is a short season in Canada!

This would be bad news. My order went in the first week of April. I have a production number. I hope they can restart.

Positive news from a production POV though, it seems like all plants will be in production almost immediately.

I just spoke with BMW NA, they also confirmed that next week all global operations will resume along with production. I would assume that custom orders that are confirmed and sold will be prioritized and produced first? The idea sounds nice at least...

Likely a mix of happy people with production updates and some with cancellations... hopefully either way we can all take advantage.

My production number is now invalid as of today.
My build is no longer showing up in MyGarage on BMWUSA.com. Order was placed 4/9/20. No word back from the dealer yet. I will let you know what I hear.

I'm stuck in the middle with 'No word yet' lol.

Meanwhile I've been looking at used 911's . . . .

What's the consensus here on MY2020 vs 21 production? Some people are getting their recent 2020 orders fulfilled while some are having them cancelled due to MY2021?

Does this depend on the info the dealers get?

My car just went into production yesterday in Mexico. Est. Prod. Date is 6/16.

Anybody know transit time from Mexico completion to Performance Center? I'm still scheduled for PCD assuming it is open then.

I don’t think the reasons here will ever be clear because I think there are different factors like dealer allocation, country allocation, timing order was placed, whether that colour will be run again as a 2020, etc. I was told mine was cancelled because all orders at a point were only going to be my2021, but another dealer told me they just had a new order placed after mine accepted... maybe my dealer didn’t have an allocation, maybe Dravit isn’t being run, maybe it was the track package and no parts for it from China.... really no way to tell.
