Don’t be fooled……the battery can be less than healthy even when driven every day. I had this on my 330i, only picked up the battery wasn’t 100% when the stop/start stopped kicking in and the comfort access became erratic - no warning messages whatsoever. Your dealer can assess the health of the battery from your key fob on a desktop basis. My battery was replaced under warranty.

I’ll have a small wager that if you put the battery on a conditioner for 24 hours the software will install.
The car is four years old now. So battery might be the issue. Haven’t noticed anything wrong so far though but I also do not use start/stop

Deleting my phone profile hasn’t worked either. I’m starting to think it’s the battery that’s the issue considering my car is 4 years old. Will take it to the dealer soon. Thanks everyone for your help and ideas

Final update- the dealer manually updated the software. Interestingly they updated it to 11.2022. My download was the 07.2022. They couldn’t tell me why the remote upgrade wasn’t working. Battery ok. They did state that another 330i recently had the same issue and required manual. They suspect it’s some thing to do at the server end.

It does take a long time during certain stages. Hope long does it stay stuck at 37%? I had to drive for around 45 min to complete the transfer

I just installed the 7/22 update today. To start the install I went to settings, general settings, then down to software upgrade & it gave me the option to start the upgrade.

I had the same screen you posted above that says it would notify me when the upgrade could be installed - it never did. I just clicked through the settings pages outlined above and manually started it. It took about 10 minutes or so to complete.

I had gone through those settings outings too. That’s where I took the screen shot from

Did you ever get to the screen that had 4-5 conditions? I forget what all of them were, but it was, car has to be parked, key has to be in the car to start, parking brake has to be engaged, and maybe one more.

No. That’s after you get the prompt to start. Problem is I never got the prompt. I tried everywhere in the settings menu including where you suggested

Gotcha. It was my first update, and I also found it interesting that it was 7/22 when others were posting about 11/22

My download was the 7/2022. However the dealer manually updated to the 11/2022. Shouldn’t matter. The July updates are the major ones where new features are released. All other updates are minor tweaks.

I'm in the same situation, currently. 2019 330i, on 07/2021 right now with the prompted update being 07/2022. I downloaded the software on my phone and transferred it to the car and have now been stuck on the "you'll be notified screen" for 2 days. I have driven the car 30 miles round trip (half highway half city) both days with the auto start/stop off hoping to charge the battery enough but I'm still in the same boat. I did notice that just before xmas the start/stop wasn't engaging which I assumed was because the battery was below a threshold and I hadn't driven much before that for a while (though i noticed it has been auto start/stopping every time since then).

I'm going to try hooking up my jump box tonight to see if that will top it off, otherwise maybe this weekend I'll do a little more highway driving. My other thought is I have a BT OBD dongle and a basic app to read codes and such so I should be able to check the battery voltage with that.

Same issue here, also a 330i from 2019. Tried everything, including full battery charger and aftewards a teip of 80km. Still no luck. This really feels like a BMW bug … .

Yes, it is a known issue across all models. Some vehicles meet all of the criteria for install but the installation process either will not start or stops and gets a continuous Resume Shortly message. The only solution so far was to have a dealer install the latest version.

LOL same as you and after setting my battery charger differently I finally got the prompt and when it almost went through I didn't leave and didn't lock the car which is the last step... So it didn't update.. Back to square one.. Frustration maximum lol

As above. Known issue with the dealers. Mine had 11.2022 installed by the dealer before Xmas due to the same issue with 07.2022 not installing.

Only was to fix the issue currently is to let the dealer manually install the latest software.

That is normal, that option doesn't do anything. The OTA's are sent out by BMW according to an algorithm that no one, likely even BMW, knows how it chooses the vehicles to receive it.

Mine was stuck at uploading to car, went to the dealer and they updated it.

I got an interesting reply from BMW on this topic. The OTA update relies on the previous version. In my case I’m currently on 2021/7. This means that 2022/7 cannot be installed as the current version is to old. I was under the impression that only the /7 updates were pushed via OTA, others just for minor fixes … . Only solution like indicated here before is to let the dealer do this manually. (At a certain cost?)

Was able to download to phone but cannot get my phone to connect. Under connections I see Bluetooth and Apps are on but Wi-Fi shows disconnected. I’ve unpaired/paired my phone and cannot get it to connect.
