Question Connected Drive services not available

I will have to arrange a visit to my Dealer - but it is not convenient at the moment for me - so just trying to eliminate obvious "finger trouble".

My car has lost its connection (4G) to the Connect Drive services such that the MyBMW App now shows old data, remote lock/unlock will not work, the Sat Nav does not pick up RTTI, etc.

Earlier today I tried the iDrive reboot - and data connection was restored - but it didn't last long - next stop/start cycle and connection was lost again. More iDrive reboots have no effect.

I have confirmed that iDrive settings have "All Services" enabled - and the car still knows that all of its subscriptions are valid.

My car is less than 1 month old - so obviously I will be going to the BMW Dealer - but as stated, its not something I can do immediately - probably early next week.

Anyone had similar issues?

Went for a short drive just after posting: -

RTTI working - and MyBMW App updated with current data?

Stopped for about 30 minutes, then drove back - RTTI not working, MyBMW data not updated.

Very intermittent

I am currenting having the same issues with my 330e Msport LCI. Car is about 2 months old and everything was working fine until Wednesday.

I have done the restart, offloaded and even re installed the app before I realized my car connection was down.

BMW support had me check the things I already had checked again and the result did obviously not change.

Now waiting for some other support guy to call/email me.

Most annoying thing is that I can't pre-condition the car for a couple of days now, as it is frigging cold in Sweden !

I has the same problem in my 2022 330i. Lost all connectivity. After about a week, it resolved itself!!

Latest vehicle software appears to include a fix for the loss of 4G/5G communications: -

Question now is "how the hell do I get it to update, when it isn't communicating?" Looks like a Dealer visit...

If the reboot doesn’t work, try resetting iDrive to the factory defaults. That did the trick with my ‘21 330e X Drive.

After the car successfully installed RSU 11-2022/60 a couple of weeks ago - the ConnectedDrive services were working normally - for two and a half days - then it lost communications again

I rebooted iDrive, whilst stationary at Traffic Lights on my way home - about 5 minutes later the "RTTI" indication appeared - so I knew it was communicating

I fully expected the comms to drop out again randomly - but to my amazement it has remained stable ever since

Anyone else still having issues with eSIM connectivity?

Mine has been stable. after you did the upgrade , did you update Apps and Services.?
If not, press Apps, tilt controller left to highlight installed Apps. Then press Option, and select Update Apps and Services. That usually resolves the problems that you describe.

Connected Drive Issues

I've also had ConnectedDrive issues with my vehicle. I have a 2019 330I and BMW North America can't even find my car in their systems when they search for my VIN. My car was never properly set up for sale in the US; It was an executive car that was sold at auction so it never went through the appropriate steps of "import" or whatever a dealership needs to do upon delivery from the factory. BMW NA can't locate the vehicle to even try and troubleshoot and tell me I need to work with a dealership but no dealership has experienced this issue before and seem to be unsure of a solution. Does anybody on here work for BMW and have any idea what I can do to get the system working? Thank you!
