Hey guys... my driver's side headlight (LED) on my G20 is leaking like a sieve and fills with fog and water droplets. It's gotten really bad since this past spring. Of course the car is outside of the warranty period.
Unfortunately, I only have street parking AND I live in the Netherlands so it's always raining. It's not a good mix... Have any of you guys come up with successful solution? The dealer I go to pretty much said I was SOL and would just need to buy a new unit. I've considered reaching out to an independent BMW garage that I've gone to before to see if they're up for removing, cleaning and resealing the unit. Thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone had any luck after their warranty ended. |

People will say "open up the headlight and dry it out", but that's not a quick thing with these headlights and they're not particularly accessible without removing, which requires taking off the front bumper. I wonder if you have a crack somewhere causing this. This Reddit thread might be helpful:
