ID8 Ambient lightning behind the screen.

Has anyone made a modification to install ambient lighting behind the iDrive 8 display? I have drawn a line on the pictures to illustrate what I mean.

I think it might get too annoying at night no matter how much you can dim it down but it does look cool, I have a left over sunroof light strip that might work there I’m gonna see if it can fit and if the wiring can be tucked away nicely this week

My wifes new Hyundai Santa Fe has this. looks pretty decent and not distracting at all. So it is and can be done.

I was just thinking about this today. I really want to do it but I need to figure out the right LEDs and how to hide the wiring/where to wire it into.
