My car is on order but wondering if there’s any cost to using ConnectedDrive like remote unlock/lock, 3D remote view, turning on air vent, etc? I know CarPlay is $80 a year but how about other stuff? Hopefully BMW won’t charge us to update iDrive 7 OTA. When I was test driving the car salesman told me it’s $325 a yr which includes CarPlay that seems a bit high.

Way too expensive if true. I know it's only $27 a month but still another monthly payments add up in the long run.

Yeah it is expensive. But if you want Apple Car Play you have to fork over the cash.

Is there a list somewhere of al the different costs associated with connectedd drive? On my current f30, I don't pay anything and I can use vent, lock/unlock, etc. feature with no cost. Didn't think getting 3D view, remote start and things like that would carry a subscription fee

Found some pricing for G20 series but some others are not available. Interesting is Carplay can be purchased one time fee of $300 for 20 yrs of service much cheaper than $80 a yr.

Looks like my CONNECTED PACKAGE PROFESSIONAL and BMW CONNECTED+ are active for 4 years and APPLE CARPLAY for just one year.

Seems so since they all have expiration dates along with a note that they can be extended 3 months before those dates.
