Mine is coded and not looking forward to loosing it if I took it to BMW. Seems that almost every OTA my car receives the download doesn't work like it should.

For me, I am not sure what to do now. The car won't let me update the software.

Mine not sure either. Before I use to have one of techs update the car when I was working for the locate BMW dealer.

Just in case others have the "when I restart the car or shift from the reverse camera back to drive the display goes back to the BMW home screen and not CarPlay" issue, the new firmware solves this.

My m440 has the 07/2020.54 and it does not show any available update.

takah - get your iDrive update manually at the dealers' then it will be "unstuck" and you will have normal RSU update schedule.

2023 M340i just downloaded and installed 03/2024.40. It just got 11/2023 a few weeks back, so super quick of an OTA update push.

I also just got notified of 03/2024.40. The update seemed to complete much faster than the previous one. It completed without issue.

Just a couple of days after receiving and installing the 11/23 update, I received and installed the 03/2024.40 Update.
I hate that it screws up my telephones paired with the car. I always have to pair them with the car again after an update.

iirc this update was much smaller in file size than the one we just got a couple weeks ago, so maybe this was a really minor update.
