Overhead camera 360 view display issue 07/2020.54
Hi guys. I've just received my first OTA update for iDrive which update the system to 07/2020.54. Since updating, I've noticed a serious issue with my overhead camera view in the parking system. As you can see, the car image is much smaller than the overall "black shadow" image, which I think represents the actual perimeter of the car... Looks pretty crap!
I've tried the manual reboot by pressing the power button for 30 seconds (though I'm not sure if I'm doing it right), and the issue is persisting. Anyone else seeing this? |

I've also just noticed that it's greying out the wrong side when I open a door. So if I open the drivers side (RH) door, the image stays, and the LH camera shuts off and displays the grey lines. This is definitely not the way it operated on earlier software.
Anyone else seeing this? I hope BMW sends me another OTA update soon! |

Go to the BMW shop and get the camera calibrated. I recently had to change the driver's mirror and then I had some issues with the camera as well. A quick calibration fixed it.

You cannot do it. The dealer has to do it for you. By BMW shop, he meant the service center.

You're kidding me... So, I get the convenience of an OTA software upgrade, only to have to take the car to the dealership to fix an issue the OTA software upgrade caused??? What a pain in the ass. Not happy.

To be honest, I'm not completely sure, but even if it's a software glitch with your specific iDrive version, you'll have to take the car to the dealership to get it fixed.
