ID8 GPS and APPLE MAPS ?
so i saw this TikTok and this guys 2023 M3 ID8 has apple maps showing on his insrument cluster wihtout gps being active, i attached 2 pics one is from my car (2023 g20) apple maps shows in middle when i have gps active only, how did he get Apple maps to just show up instead of internal Navi??

I was able to get Apple Maps to show without navigation running on 2023 M340i with iDrive 8. It requires 11/2022.44 software or later and iOS 15. I tested with 11/2022.60 and iOS 15.1.1.
Start a navigation route on Apple Maps. Then stop the navigation. The instrument cluster will not revert to the BMW maps and will keep Apple Maps in the instrument cluster. It will continue to track your current location as you drive. |
