I have some scratches on the lower part of the side view mirror. I believe the piece I need to replace is the lower cover here:

I haven’t been able to find any guides on removing that specific piece and I’m not sure if it’s similar to removing the mirror cap or if more parts need to be taken off the mirror. Anyone have any insight?

Thanks for sharing that. After looking over all of the steps I think I’ll just have to live with it the way it is.. I thought the lower part was able to be removed in a similar fashion as the mirror cap but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Bummer
