Has anyone purchased a replacement trim from AliExpress? (Not the stick on type)

I am partially interested in the quality of the dry carbon used and its quality fit wise, when in place.

A friend of mine ordered one of those replacements for his F31 steering wheel. That doesn't answer your particular question for the G20, but for the F31 you couldn't see a difference at all to the original M Performance inserts. It's very well possible what he ordered was a genuine M Performance part someone snacked from the factory. Carbon was without any imperfections and fit and finish superb.

Carbon generally is a rip-off if bought from BMW directly, e.g. the mirror caps they buy for 7€ and sell them for 500€. Probably the parts with the highest margin.

Yes OEM M Performance parts are very expensive from BMW. I have the performance interior already and wanted to finish it off with the steering wheel cover, however the cheapest OEM one I can find is £307 so this could be an option for about £125
