Introducing the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT

https://www.google.com/amp/www.motor...?client=safari

I wish this was debuting in Chicago since I'll be there next Friday for the auto show. I'm really excited to see how this looks in person. Your thoughts?

Lower it, and supercharge it. Now you will have a 750hp MONSTER that handles like a sports car. THATS something i could get really excited about.

+1!

For a three row car, this is the ultimate "I'm a dad" car. I love the seven modes!

Probably will cost the same or more than the Jeep SRT8.

I would assume it'll cost $5-10k more than the Jeep due to the technology and third row seats in the Durango. It would still be worth it compared to an X5M, in my opinion.

I love it as well. The new Expedition will look nice next to my wagon though.

Those in the market for such a vehicle don't share your views. I detest anything made by Dodge except the Viper but I have no problems accepting that their formula of adding more power to garden variety vehicles has proved to be very effective in increasing sales - won't be long before they hellcat the Durango as well.

So you don't think new car prices are out of control & way beyond the normal rate of inflation?

Honestly, the competition for the Durango SRT starts around $100k. Its going to be a bargain in that aspect but its still going to be too much.

New car prices will always go up every year from the manufacturer's then you have dealers added BS "market adjustments" to vehicles too.

Dodge really did a number with the $15k or so price jump from the 1st gen Jeep SRT 8 to the 2nd Jeep SRT 8. So I'm expecting the Durango to be more. It is the Jeep's "bigger" brother but we'll see.

FCA is literally surviving on Jeeps, Ram, and niche products.
