Really?? the all new M340 has valves and sounds pretty aggressive, not exactly the same but along the lines of the MPPSK B58 (at least the US version does)... doubt they would go more conservative for the M3 vs the M340

If they slap a scaled down version of the 7 series LCI grille on it this place will go bananas but not in a good way.

My guess is a bit more like the CSL hommage but still your point holds... not sure how it will translate to real life with crash zones and license plate holders.

F80/82 owners, does it sound different to your car (when stock)? I can't really tell, seems to sound pretty similar...

Huh. I had heard that pre-orders would come this summer 2019. And production would start this year and deliveries would happen end of 2019.

Now you're saying, production won't start till 2020. So deliveries won't be until late 2020? Over a year and half from now?

More than the grill, I’m wondering if we get ventilated seats like the X3/4 M offerings??

Liking the stance. Too bad it will carry over the overly corporate look and feel from the G2x/G3x

Then new M340i much like the X3 M40i is much quieter than the 1st gen MPPSK B58 440i's.

The PPF has greatly reduced noise and power in the UK. You can't even get the MPPSK on post April 2018 40i's anymore.

Disappointing.

There is zero chance that the car is released in 2019. The F8x M4 is still being produced through the end of this year, so they will not have two models cannibalizing each other. Best case is mid 2020 release.

Probably like they did for M340i and X3/4M
Where they had camo soft launches and soft reveal of features.

Based on the current set of G80 spyshots, no indication of hood power bulge. If BMW decided to use the same engine cover layout on S58 with strut bar across and cut through the top as found on X3M/X4M, not sure about the power bulge implementation on that. Would prefer the one piece CF strut bar construction from F8x instead of two separate rods.

Does it have solid engine mounts? No way that should work if driven in anger.
