They just tone things down a tad for the production version. Bumpers, headlights, tailpipes, wheels, etc. But overall this is nearly it.

Hopefully they keep the thick chrome border and tucked in slats in the production model to give the grille more depth.
All in all, I think they integrated a gigantic kidney grille as well as they could have. It could have been worse. I'm more disappointed in the profile. Really not a fan of this style of kink BMW is using in the 6GT, X4, and now this. Last edited by bobloblaw; 09-10-2019 at 02:28 AM.. |

The car will look mean when you swap the luxury candy red paint, the chrome window surrounds and silver wheels with something sporty and tone down the grill contrast with a lighter paint. If the last gen. was the M3’s this gen. will be the M4’s.

Ya know, you're probably right. My eyes have adjusted to it (...thanks SCOTT26 and Jason!!!), so I'm on board. I think the ///M4 will look pretty good, but I don't know how that front end is going to look when mated to the sedan body of the ///M3.

You know it’s just going to look better every time you look at it and when you see the real thing, you’re sold. I’m super happy with what they’ve done here, this will really feel like a new car and not the same old and it’s properly nice. None of the boring 8 series front or the G20’s -Really this is your new exciting model for the next 7 years, sigh.

Hahahahahahahahahagagagaashahahwhahhshszhshdhw I'm going to start practicing miming me puking in anticipation of seeing these 4 series on the street. I already do it when I see X4's, X6's, etc. But I'm gonna have to make a new one specifically for the viciously ugly upcoming 4 series. If the M3 adopts this stupid new grill, then I'm out.
