'21 G22 m440 - radar hard wire

I just picked up the Escort redline 360c radar and was planning to hardwire it. Anyone do so yet.. just digging in and not seeing much.

Where is the best point to tap In if I want to mount it on the glass? I purchased the escort remote hardwire kit.

I know you can got into the rear view mirror but it's seems clunky to go there and blocks your view.

Regardless would like to see what anyone did to hardware yours.

21 G22- radar hard wire

I used a mirror tap for my V1G2- takes about 10 minutes to do. Blue/red is 12v switched, black/brown is ground. It will stay on for a few minutes until the car shuts everything down when you turn the car off. There is a good post with pictures in the electronics section- search radar detector hard wire.

I use Blendmount and a mirror tap for my RL360c. Good Luck!

Any pics on that install? Was feeling it would take up to much window space.

The RL360c should be right up to the mirror it so it typically should not be noticeable once the novelty wears off. The GPS chip will have a clear view to the sky as well. Good Luck and Enjoy!

It should be up high for max effectiveness. Mine is beside the mirror as high as possible on the driver's side, and you are correct- you won't notice anything- except the alerts!

Okay ... but never had an issue with the GPS on my past 3 escort radar detectors on the window just to throw that out there. I had the Max 360c prior and no issues. The all have equal vie to the sky since it's an angled windshield.

The point on the the higher the better ... that questionable.

Some users mount the radar detector tight to the headliner. That can cause GPS reception issues.

Gotch ... good point. I have been using the window mount down low. I will post my install...

Which fuse?

I'm not technically savvy so I have my body mech hard wire my Uniden R3 into my 2022 M44i. Shortly after leaving the shop I got a passenger restraint alert and then a seat back alert. After disconnecting the R3, the alerts went away. The thought is it was connected to the wrong fuse...any idea which one will work?

You don't need to use a fuse. See the above posts. It's only about a 10 minute install through the mirror. All you need is a Mirror Tap harness. Google it.
