Is this a cover or you had to replace all the pieces?

Its an OEM kit of six pieces which replaces your existing trims. You also need to remove your existing air vents and wiring loom and fit into the performance trim. A guide is attached above.

I have the open pore oak (black wood) trim already which I love, but wish there was a way I could replace all the shiny silver trim pieces (including around m sport wheel) with a softer/darker grey. On sunny days, the glare is too much -- biggest downside of the car for me so far.

Sweet! Nice job on the install and the instructions. The most difficult part for me would be parting with that much cash for a cosmetic upgrade, but it is a real sweet improvement.

Very nice instructions! Does the front dash trim piece come completely off(the one that says M performance)? Im looking to wrap it which will be much easier if it removes from the frame.

I am not 100% certain however I would say NO. Looking at the pics the carbon trim section is inserted into the main frame and its tabs are secured and flattened by heat. This is a common method used by BMW.

Very interesting manual! I’m planning to just replace the side trim on the center console. Do I still need to remove the upper center console trim first before I’m able to remove the two side trims or do you think I can replace them without removing the upper part?
